Please follow the care guide below to achieve the best burn from your candle.

First burn:

The first burn needs to last for at least 3 hours, or until the wax pool meets the edge of the jar.

Thereafter, each time you burn your candle, allow the entire top layer to become a fragrant pool of melted wax to achieve the boldest scent possible. This will also prevent tunneling in your candle!

General Guidelines:

  • Always burn candle within a well ventilated room.
  • Trim your wick before each use.
  • To achieve longevity, stick to the recommended maximum burn time of 4 hours.
  • Keep candle out of reach from children and pets.
  • Never leave burning candle unattended.
  • Ensure lit candle is on a heat resistant surface.
  • Do not leave candle in direct sunlight, or in a drafty area.
  • Extinguish candle if flame becomes too high.

  • Know when to say goodbye!

Discontinue burn when 1cm wax remains.

Recycle your jar by storing candy, or even planting succulents!

    Why soy wax?

    1. Soy candles are made from soybeans, a natural, renewable source.
    2. Soy candles provide a clean burn with minimal soot released. Some soot may collect in the jar, you can wipe clean when the candle is unlit and cold.
    3. Soy candles typically last longer than a paraffin candle of the same size.
    4. Soy wax is also biodegradable, making it an investment that benefits the environment.
    5. Scent is held longer within soy wax, and released slowly and cleanly.

To preserve the quality of your candle, ensure you store the candle away from direct sunlight, as this can discolour the wax.

Store in a cool, dry place.

    Take Care!

Please ensure you are careful when removing the lid from the candle, as you always have to be careful when dealing with glass.

Never force the lid off, just ease it if it is a little stuck.

Why does my candle have 'frosting'?

All joy of soy candles are handpoured individually. Because soy wax is a natural product, it cannot be guarenteed that the wax will set 100% clearly.

Depending on the weather and environment, occasionally wax can set with a small frosting against the glass.

This should not be considered a flaw, and does not affect the quality of the candle.

Why is there a bubble in my candle?

Soy wax is extremely temperature sensitive.

As the hot wax is poured into the jar, its temperature heats then cools. This then creates an atmosphere where the wax first sticks, then releases from the glass jar in which it is poured. This can sometimes create a visual illusion of a bubble in the candle, and can sometime lead to a small abrasion in the candle surface.

While we take every care to create an immaculate candle, sometimes slight abrasions can occur.

This does not affect the performance, and will likely change once the candle is lit.
